Plant-based expert and media personality, Elysabeth Alfano, drills down from a wholistic view to give an understanding of progress being made in the various arenas that make up the plant-based movement: food, tech/business, health, animal welfare, culture, politics and the environment. She also empowers the audience with tips and statistics for educating others on the critical advancements in these areas. Host of the Awesome Vegans Podcast and Video Series on WGN Radio, Elysabeth Alfano has interviewed the leaders and influencers in the plant-based movement gathering key intel for the past two years in the food, business, environmental and political arenas. She now speaks at food festivals, summits, radio and TV stations across the country as a plant-based expert educating the mainstream public on the benefits of a plant-based diet for people, animals and the planet. A veteran journalist for 9 years (Huffington Post, Veg News, WGN Radio, WTTW, #JaneUnChained News Network), Elysabeth has been a plant-based expert on NPR's KCRW, iHeart Radio's KFI, WGN-TV, WCIU-TV, WGN Radio and WCPT Radio. She is working on a book that will feature her recipes from her on-line cooking series, The Silver-Chic Chef.
